Manchester United are interested in bringing another Ajax player to Old Trafford, according to reports, but they have strong competition from a number of top Premier League clubs.

In his first summer in charge, Erik ten Hag raided former club Ajax to sign Lisandro Martinez and Antony, who arrived for a combined fee of around £130 million.

Now, the Premier League club are once again keen on bringing a young talent from Amsterdam to Manchester, with German publication BILD suggesting they want Diant Ramaj.

The highly-rated 22-year-old goalkeeper, who has only conceded 26 goals in 17 league appearances this season, has been a shining light in an otherwise poor campaign for the Dutch side.

In fact, German youth international Ramaj is being chased by fellow top flight clubs Chelsea and Arsenal, which may come as a surprise given all three clubs signed new goalkeepers in the summer.

United signed Andre Onana from Inter Milan in a deal worth £47.2 million, Robert Sanchez joined Chelsea from Brighton, and David Raya made the move to North London in August on an initial loan with a £27 million option to buy.

Ramaj, meanwhile, only signed for Ajax from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer, penning a five-year deal in the process.

In his first interview as an Ajax player in August, he said: "Moving to Ajax means a lot to me, as I have taken a very big step in my career. My transfer here means that Ajax has a lot of faith in me and for that I feel proud.

"At first I didn't know if it was a dream or reality. But, after the first contact, things went very quickly and I'm happy that everything ended in the best possible way and now I'm part of Ajax."

Ramaj added: "Ajax is a big club and I will give everything from myself, then it is up to the coach to decide on the place of the starter.

"My personal goal is to develop even more, while with the team I have good performances and fight for the top of the table."
