The Manchester United squad for their FA Cup third-round clash against Arsenal has reportedly been confirmed.

This weekend, the Premier League took a step back as the FA Cup moved into centre stage.

On Sunday afternoon, the tie of the round will take place at the Emirates Stadium as holders United begin their defence against Mikel Arteta's Gunners.

Ahead of the match, Ruben Amorim, his staff and players were spotted arriving at Stockport station prior to catching a train down to London.

As reported by Manchester Evening News, four big names were not seen with the rest of the squad.

Wantaway striker Marcus Rashford misses out once again alongside Luke Shaw, Mason Mount and Victor Lindelof as they recover from injury.

Experienced defender Johnny Evans also remains sidelined.

What has Ruben Amorim said about his squad ahead of FA Cup clash against Arsenal?

Speaking ahead of the match, United boss Amorim said: "Vic [Victor Lindelof] continues out, Jonny [Evans] continues out. Amad has a little injury but I think he can recover.

"Luke Shaw continues his improvement, Mason Mount also. The rest are strong to compete for a place and to play again."

He continued: "At this moment, I am living day by day. We had one week without a game. It does not make sense for me to rest players now and play both games really near. We have to win and follow the last performance.

"We are in a difficult moment. We are improving, we will put out the best team to try to win. I will choose the best team to win. We want to win the cup. Sometimes it is better to win this type of game and have less time to rest. We just to win this game and then we will think about the next."
