One Manchester United star has warned Liverpool they could get 'eaten' in their FA Cup clash.

United and arch-rivals Liverpool will go head-to-head at Old Trafford on Sunday in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

Erik ten Hag's side need to win to keep alive their hopes of winning silverware this season, whereas Liverpool remain on course to win a quadruple.

The last meeting between the two sides ended goalless at Anfield in December.

Jurgen Klopp's side come into the game as favourites, as they are second in the Premier League table and 17 points ahead of United.

That said, United midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has warned Liverpool that they will suffer if they don't bring their A game to Old Trafford.

"Like you said, it's the do or die or the eat or get eaten," the loanee told United's official club website.

"So we have to be ready. We have to be prepared. It was like I said, the pull is strong, but they want to win and we want to win.

"So we have to be hungry. We have to. We have to fight for every metre, to give our lives, and yeah, do or die."

Amrabat admitted that the Old Trafford crowd will have a huge role to play, especially given Liverpool's increased away allocation of 9,211.

"Yeah, I think so, you know, because they are always behind us everywhere," he explained.

"No matter where or when. So I think they know that they are very good for us. They know we need them. I think they are amazing and they help us a lot.

"We know it’s very important for them but also for us, of course. So we want to make them happy and, hopefully, we can give them a nice game and get the win."
