Lisandro Martinez’s interview after Man Utd’s FA Cup victory will make your day

Manchester United were crowned FA Cup winners after beating Manchester City at Wembley.

Lisandro Martinez gave a wonderful interview after Manchester United’s FA Cup final victory over Manchester City.

After a torrid season, United had the chance to end their campaign on a high as they took on their fierce rivals City in the FA Cup final.

In front of a packed crowd inside Wembley, Erik ten Hag’s men produced one of their finest displays of the season as goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo sealed a 2-1 victory.

Half-time substitute Jeremy Doku was the scorer for Pep Guardiola’s side.

After the match, United defender Martinez gave a brilliant interview when speaking to Sony Sports Network.

He said: “Honestly, I’m so happy because our fans, our team, the club deserve it. I think we did everything to win and we did it, so we are so happy.

“This is what we want, to win titles, to be always in the final and play important games. I think we will learn a lot about this season.”

Martinez added: “Today we took all the bad things during the season to the pitch and I can feel the energy of the team, it was unbelievable.”

Towards the end of the interview, Martinez sang the popular United chant ‘We’ve Seen It All’.

The Argentine began: “We’re Man United and we are never gonna stop!!! Ole ole, ole ola! Ole, ole, ole, ole, Ole, Ola.

“We’ve seen it all.”

Speaking after the match, City boss Guardiola also praised Martinez.

He said: “Lisandro Martinez is top five centre-backs in the world. He made the difference on this game by playing passes through our defence.

“I like when people underestimate players for the size. He can tell them I'm here and a good player. He's a fantastic player, aggressive, good build up.”

Guardiola added: “United paid this money, Erik [ten Hag] knows him. It's not the first time he's played against taller strikers, he handles it. [It's] important to be intelligent, brave. The crosses, Erling is taller, we see what happens.”
