Manchester United fans have called out Ruben Amorim's 'sackable offence' following their draw against Leeds United.

Man United opened their New Year with a Premier League fixture at Elland Road.

Amorim's side were looking to bounce back after being held at home to Wolves on Tuesday.

But the Red Devils delivered another drab display against their old rivals, drawing 1-1 on Sunday.

Pressure is mounting on Amorim, who frustrated Man United fans before the game even kicked off.

He started six defenders, with Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte also playing from the start.

Lisandro Martinez, Leny Yoro, Ayden Heaven, Diogo Dalot, Luke Shaw and Patrick Dorgu all started.

And Amorim only made one change during the clash to change his side's fortunes in a move that angered supporters.

Man United fans also questioned Amorim's decision to start six defenders against Leeds as they made their feelings known.

One X user wrote: "6 defenders + Ugarte and Casemiro vs Leeds is sackable."

A second said: "I remember when LVG was hit with injuries, we saw use of our academy. Amorim would rather play 6 defenders with Casemiro and Ugarte. Worst United 11 ever."

A third added: "6 of the 10 outfield players are defenders, plus Ugarte and Casemiro! He’s a disgrace not like he’s getting a clean sheet with that either."

Reacting to the result, another commented: "Not surprised after we only used one sub. Amorim’s in survival mode. He doesn’t want to lose so he’ll take the draws."

Speaking after the 1-1 draw, Amorim said: "I think we played well. I think we controlled quite well. We had opportunities to win, we are losing games in details. We managed to get back in the game [after conceding]. A little bit frustrated."

Man United's point against Leeds sees them move above Chelsea, who play Manchester City, to fifth in the league.

They have 31 points on the board and have dropped points in their last two league games.

Man United resume their league campaign next Wednesday when they travel to Turf Moor to face Burnley.
