Jadon Sancho showed his true colours after being left out of Man Utd's Champions League trip

The Englishman showed his true colours.

Jadon Sancho showed his true colours after being left out of Manchester United's Champions League squad to face Bayern Munich last month.

The Red Devils secured their first European victory on Wednesday evening, as they beat FC Copenhagen 1-0 to keep their Champions League hopes alive.

Harry Maguire was the unlikely hero at Old Trafford, heading home Christian Eriksen's cross to go third in Group A, one point behind Galatasaray.

Unsurprisingly, Sancho was not selected for the contest after he was suspended by the club for refusing to apologise to Erik ten Hag following their public spat in September.

The winger has since been exiled from the rest of the first team squad, with his United career having seemingly hit a brick wall.

However, despite his manager's comments regarding his attitude at training, Sancho showed his true colours when he was omitted from United's squad to face Bayern, which ended in a chaotic 4-3 defeat.

According to The Athletic, the Englishman stayed to watch the club's under-18s at Carrington after being left at home while his team-mates jetted off to Germany.

The report adds that Sancho stayed well after the full-time whistle to answer questions from the academy players, where he is said to have behaved 'politely' and 'made a good impression'.

The former Borussia Dortmund star is allegedly prohibited from using the first-team facilities, including the canteen.

Instead, Sancho has his food delivered to him in a lunch box and parks his car near to the academy buildings, where he gets ready each day.

It would appear there is no way back for the player now, who is 'resolute' in his in his stance about the apology.

The publication claims: "In his view, other players have been underwhelming in training and still played."
