Erik ten Hag is growing increasingly 'frustrated' with the delay over deciding his future at Manchester United as worrying transfer news has emerged.

Ten Hag's position at Man United has been under intense scrutiny following an underwhelming Premier League campaign last season.

But he somewhat salvaged the 2023/24 season with the FA Cup triumph over Manchester City, securing his second trophy in as many years since his appointment in May 2022.

Following the conclusion of last season, Man United chiefs launched a review into the club's campaign but there is still no decision about the 54-year-old's future.

And the lack of information on his position has 'frustrated' Ten Hag, who is fearing it is impacting Man United's transfer plans this summer.

According to The Telegraph, the Dutchman is concerned that if Man United intend to keep him then the club is danger of falling behind in the transfer market and will impact their prospects next season.

The Red Devils boss went on holiday after his side's FA Cup win over Man City and still is waiting to hear whether he will be in charge next season.

He's also aware that Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS have been talking to other managers and their representatives.

The report also states that there may be limited funds available for summer transfers given the club has overspent in recent transfer windows and needs to address its finances.

Former Chelsea and Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel and ex-Brighton gaffer Roberto De Zerbi have also been linked with replacing Ten Hag, who has a year left on his current deal.

Ten Hag guided Man United to an eighth-place finish in the league last season but secured Europa League qualification through winning the FA Cup.

He's won two trophies at Man United, having won the Carabao Cup in his first season in charge.
