He could hand a pair of debuts.

Erik ten Hag could hand two Manchester United players their Champions League debut for the club against Galatasaray.

United take on the Turkish outfit on Tuesday, hoping to bounce back from Saturday's dismal 1-0 victory to Crystal Palace and get off the mark in their Champions League group.

Indeed, on Matchday One United fell to a 4-3 defeat to Bayern Munich, while Galatasaray came from behind to snatch a crucial point against Copenhagen.

The prospect of a United victory on Tuesday may be boosted by the return of wonderkid Kobbie Mainoo.

Mainoo impressed in pre-season for United before suffering an injury that has kept him out of all competitive football so far this campaign.

However the 18-year-old has stepped up his recovery, and was spotted in United training on Monday ahead of the game.

Meanwhile, Ten Hag could also hand Altay Bayindir his first game for United in the Champions League, against e Galatasaray.

The 25-year-old signed from Gala’s fierce rivals, Fenerbahce, in the summer but is yet to feature after Erik ten Hag recently opted to play Andre Onana in the Carabao Cup and Champions League.

The Dutchman admitted in his pre-match press conference: "We chose in the League Cup to play [Andre] Onana because he has to adapt to the England standard but… also we have to progress Altay.

"He's made a very good impression in training and he's really developing, so we're really happy with it."

One player who will also be available for selection is Antony, who returned from a leave of absence last week following allegations over his personal life.

The winger only returned to training on Sunday however, and will have to prove his fitness to earn a start at Old Trafford.

Ten Hag said Antony is "in consideration" for the Group A game, but confirmed that defender Lisandro Martinez will require surgery on a foot injury and be out for an extended period.
