Former Manchester United winger David Beckham once claimed that his wife Victoria had eaten the exact same meal for over 25 years.

Beckham, 49, is one of the most globally recognised footballers to play the game, and his relationship with former Spice Girl’s singer Victoria – formerly Adams – meant he regularly featured on the front and back pages of newspapers during his time as a footballer.

The couple, dubbed ‘Posh and Becks’ have been married over 25 years, and Victoria, 50, has supported her husband at home and abroad as David played for Manchester United, Real Madrid, AC Milan, LA Galaxy and the England national team.

And it is easy to forget that David was a world-class footballer due to the mass media attention surrounding the couple and their personal lives.

One of the topics of interest over the years has been Victoria’s eating habits, which her husband discussed back in 2022.

"I get quite emotional about food and wine,” he told Ruthie’s Table 4. “When I'm eating something great, I want everyone to try it.

"Unfortunately, I'm married to someone that has eaten the same thing for 25 years.

"Since I met her, she only eats grilled fish [and] steamed vegetables. She will very rarely deviate from that.

"The only time she's probably ever shared something that's been on my plate was actually when she was pregnant with Harper, and it was the most amazing thing.

"It was one of my favourite evenings. I can't remember what it was, but I know she's not eaten it since!"

The 49-year-old is also an avid chef and revealed that he likes to ‘secretly’ put together his favourite meal when Victoria is not around.

"I had two [of the] most amazing cuts of meat: a T-bone, and I had some English wagyu,” he added.

"I had a nice tomato and shallot salad and the meat, and a glass of wine, and it was the most amazing meal that I had for a long time."

But what did Victoria think about her husband revealing her unusual eating habits?

"This is how I look,” Victoria told Grazia in March 2024.

“I’m going to make the best of it, work hard at it.

"I’m very disciplined with the way that I eat, the way that I work out and the way I work. That’s just who I am."

The pair are regularly pictured working out together on social media.

"I mean, talk about making me sound boring," she told Vogue Australia in 2022.

"No. What he meant is that he's never met anyone who is more disciplined with the way that they eat.

"I eat lots of healthy fat: fish, avocado, nuts, that sort of thing. I do drink alcohol - unless I have a reason not to.

"I'll detox from anything for three to six months where I won't drink. I'm quite extreme in anything I do, whether it's eating or working out or drinking or not drinking."
