Manchester United fans are calling for one star player to leave the club after damning footage emerged from the defeat to Chelsea.

On Thursday Man United managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory as an injury-time capitulation against Chelsea saw Erik ten Hag's side lose 4-3.

United found themselves two goals behind early on at Stamford Bridge, but fought back to establish a 3-2 lead that lasted deep into added time.

Just as the Red Devils looked home and hosed, Cole Palmer converted a 100th minute penalty before scoring the winner in the 101st to claim a famous Chelsea win.

As well as setting a new Premier League record, the defeat dealt a heavy blow to United's hopes of qualifying for next season's Champions League.

Ten Hag's side are currently sixth in the table, nine points off fifth place Tottenham Hotspur with just eight games left to play.

Alejandro Garnacho and Antony impressed for United on the night, but the same could not be said for some of the substitutes Ten Hag introduced in the second half.

The Dutch coach brought on Marcus Rashford, Scott McTominay and Mason Mount as the match neared its conclusion, and it was the performance of Rashford that particularly annoyed supporters.

Following the match, footage appeared on social media showing Rashford's half-hearted attempt to press and win the ball back from Chelsea as the hosts looked for an equaliser.

"People don’t seem to understand. It’s the body language, we’re trying to hold the lead and this is our number 10. @MarcusRashford get out of my club!," one fan fumed.

Plenty of other Reds agreed.

"Jogging like he’s being playing since the first min!" commented one, while another said: "The state of that! Look at him waltzing around yet he hadn't even started the game. Just another payday for him."

Others speculated the impact Rashford has on his teammates. One supporter tweeted: "[He] just saps the energy out of everyone else."
