Footage has emerged showing a crestfallen Bruno Fernandes reacting to Manchester United’s defeat against FC Copenhagen.

On Wednesday night, United looked to get their Champions League campaign back on track with a win against Danish side Copenhagen.

Despite Rasmus Hojlund giving Erik ten Hag’s side a two-goal lead, things turned sour after Marcus Rashford’s dismissal in the 42nd minute.

In the end, United’s Champions League campaign has been left in disarray as Copenhagen recorded a dramatic 4-3 win.

After the match, a clip of United captain Fernandes reacting to his side’s latest defeat was posted on social media.

The Portuguese was spotted sitting on the stairs with his head in his hands.

On the back of their defeat against Copenhagen, United now have to win against Galatasaray in Istanbul to stay in the Champions League.

Speaking after the match, manager Ten Hag said: “We are very disappointed because we played very good. We started the game so well. Our best minutes of the season. We are winning the game and the red card changes everything.

“It's a game of mistakes. I wouldn't say we did everything right but there are a lot of positives.”

He added: “Even with 10 men we were dictating the game. We played very good. The game is never meant to be like this. This has nothing to do with football.

“I accept wrong decisions are made but when you make such tough decisions, you control the game.”

However, Ten Hag’s post-match comments have not gone down well as United fans made their feelings clear.

United are back in Premier League action this weekend as they welcome Luton Town to Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
