Manchester United supporter Mark Goldbridge has joked that Brighton's decision to post a video about him on TikTok is a "violation" following their win over the Reds on Saturday.

Rasmus Hojlund was denied a goal on his Old Trafford debut at the weekend as goals from Danny Welbeck, Pascal Grob and Joao Pedro sealed a well-deserved 3-1 win over Erik ten Hag's side.

The Norwegian forward, who arrived this summer in a £72 million deal from Serie A outfit Atalanta, poked the ball past Brighton goalkeeper Jason Steele in what appeared to be a legitimate equaliser.

But Marcus Rashford's assist was adjudged to have crossed the line by VAR and the resulting goal was ruled out, much to the annoyance of streamer Mark Goldbridge, who called the decision "nonsense".

"They're guessing about that ball being out 100% because they don't have the tech," he said during the game. "So they should go with the goal."

A day later and Brighton's official TikTok account aimed a not-so-subtle shot at Goldbridge, when they posted the infamous video of him saying "it's not totally over the line" from a previous game of FIFA.

Goldbridge soon responded, saying: "Always been a vocal supporter of how good Brighton are and how well run they are. Their latest TikTok is a violation."

Some United fans were convinced they had a legitimate goal chalked off incorrectly on Saturday afternoon, including YouTube personality Goldbridge.

“Tell me they haven't guessed.... should have been given," he said on Twitter alongside a picture of the ball. "If you're unsure the onus should go with the attacking side.”

That being said, former Premier League referee Mike Dean says Hojlund's goal was rightly ruled out by VAR despite the assistant "understandably" missing it.

Speaking on Soccer Saturday, Dean explained: "Out of play and in play is [a straightforward decision] but it is very, very tight and I can understand why the assistant referee hasn't seen it.

"It took a lot of freeze frames forwards and backwards, forwards and backwards, but the ball had just gone out so the correct decision by the VAR."
