United splashed out £74 million to beat Newcastle to the 22-year-old Slovenian international's signature.
However, it has since emerged that United could've signed Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic for just £20 million.
Back in July, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano claimed that United were offered the chance to sign Vlahovic.
As per TBR Football, he said: "The player was offered to Manchester United. That’s why we had some stories and rumours. Vlahovic has been offered to Man United because he has to leave Juventus. It’s time for him to go and leave Juventus."

Now, it has been reported by TBR Football that Juventus were ready to part ways with the Serbian, who originally joined for nearly £67 million, for just £20 million.
The report read: "TBR Football understand Juventus were willing to sell Vlahovic for just £20m – a huge loss on the £66.6m they spent to sign him from Fiorentina back in January 2022."
However, after they failed to secure the signature of Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint Germain, Juventus decided to keep Vlahovic.
