Antony's assist for Alejandro Garnacho's second goal against Chelsea has been labelled the "pass of the season".

Antony's assist for Alejandro Garnacho's second goal against Chelsea has been labelled the "pass of the season".

On Thursday, United fell to a dramatic 4-3 defeat against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Erik ten Hag's men made a dismal start to the game as Conor Gallagher swiped home Malo Gusto's deflected cross to put the Blues ahead.

Cole Palmer then doubled Chelsea's lead from the spot, after Antony clumsily fouled Marc Cucurella in the box.

But United turned the game on its head on the stroke of half-time. First, Alejandro Garnacho pounced on a Moises Caicedo mistake to score, before Bruno Fernandes nodded in a Diogo Dalot cross moments later.

The goal of the night, however, was United's third.

Antony hit an exceptional cross from deep with the outside of his foot which Garnacho bravely converted past Djordje Petrovic.

It was a goal that had several United fans marvelling at Antony's exceptional assist.

On person on X labelled it the "pass of the season" while another said: "That pass is Quaresma-esque from Antony. So, so good."

A third joked: "Antony using the outside of the left boot for that (admittedly brilliant) pass rather than get his three wood golf club lamppost doc marten breeze block of a right foot out of the bag."

A fourth said: "Unreal pass from Antony there. Give him his flowers."

A fifth person added: "That was some sick pass from Antony!"

But the game still had time for another twist.

Chelsea equalised in the 96th minute through a second Palmer penalty.

And 82 seconds later the 21-year-old went on to score the winner, in what was among the most chaotic games of the season.
