Three Manchester United stars were spotted commenting on Anthony Martial’s social media post after the Frenchman announced his new club.

Martial first joined United back in 2015 as a teenager in a deal worth a reported fee of £36 million.

However, the Frenchman never managed to nail down a regular starting spot at Old Trafford as his Red Devils career was hugely impacted by a number of injury issues.

At the end of the 23/24 season, Martial departed Manchester upon the expiration of his contract. In total, he made 317 appearances for United across all competitions, scoring 90 goals.

Last week, it was reported that Martial had signed for Greek side AEK Athens, who offered the 28-year-old a lucrative deal worth £2.5 million per season.

On Friday, Martial posted a picture of himself wearing his new club’s colours on social media.

The caption on Martial’s Instagram post read: “New Chapter. Let's go @aekfc_official.”

In the comments section, it was spotted that United stars Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Harry Maguire all sent Martial a message.

Meanwhile, Jadon Sancho, who is currently on loan at Chelsea, also commented alongside former Red Devils stars Anthony Elanga, Donny van de Beek and Odion Ighalo.

Upon signing for AEK Athens, Martial said: “I'm very happy. AEK was a chance for me and I want to give the best of myself to win trophies and bring joy to the fans.”

Meanwhile, former United teammate Morgan Schneiderlin has backed Martial to shine.

He said to Monobala: “I think (AEK play) his way of playing I’m sure he’ll have a great year, scoring a lot of goals. And he’ll enjoy AEK’s fast-paced style of play. He will help the team a lot. AEK is a strong team and Martial is the type of striker who can unlock closed defences and make the difference.

“He’s a man who doesn’t need to talk much. When you first meet him you think he’s cold, but he likes to laugh and is just an amazing guy.”
