Amad Diallo 'interested in joining another club' after liking post claiming Man Utd 'isn't worth his time'

Amad Diallo 'interested in joining another club' after liking post claiming Man Utd 'isn't worth his time'

He could depart.

Manchester United’s Amad Diallo is interested in joining another club, it has been claimed.

The Mail Online reported that Diallo is interested in departing United, having been snubbed for a place in the team for the Old Trafford club’s 4-2 win over Newport County.

The publication has alleged the winger is interested in rejoining Sunderland for the rest of the season, following a highly successful loan spell at the Stadium of Light last season.

Diallo, partly due to injury, has made one Premier League appearance for United this season, which came from the bench. However, at Sunderland last term he registered 14 goals and four assists as the Black Cats reached the play-off semi-final.

The news emerged that Diallo may be looking for an Old Trafford exit after the player liked a tweet from a Sunderland fan, telling him to leave United.

“If they’re not going to start you in the FA Cup away at Newport County it really, really isn’t worth you giving them your time,” the Sunderland supporter wrote.

“Come home, come somewhere you are truly appreciated.”

United fans were quick to notice Diallo’s activity and feared he had fallen out with Ten Hag. The winger subsequently deleted his ‘like’.

In the wake of Diallo’s social media activity, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano insisted that the winger was happy to stay at United in January.

The Italian wrote on X, formally Twitter: “Amad Diallo has not asked Man United to leave the club — told stories on his imminent exit on loan are not true.

“Diallo is happy to stay, Man United want him to be part of the squad.

“Erik ten Hag has also been clear with Amad on his role for present and future.”
