Alejandro Garnacho has attracted interest from another club, and Manchester United fans have come up with a new theory on why he should move there.

Earlier in the month, it was reported that Garnacho was one of five players who told United that they would like to explore a move away from Old Trafford.

As reported by journalist Nathan Salt, Garnacho, along with Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia are all looking for new clubs.

Since then, Rashford has managed to engineer an exit as he joined Barcelona on a season-long loan.

Meanwhile, Garnacho has been linked with the likes of Chelsea and Napoli.

This week, it was suggested that United had slashed their asking price for the young Argentine as they look to raise funds by selling the 21-year-old.

According to a report by ESPN, United's asking price for Garnacho now stands at £40 million, having previously wanted £70 million for the forward.

Aside from Chelsea and Napoli, it has since been claimed that German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich could enter the race.

ESPN's Rob Dawson said Garnacho could end up in Bavaria as Bayern had previously 'enquired about what it would take to sign him'.

However, it has to be stated that Bayern's first-choice winger signing is still Liverpool's Luis Diaz. In addition, Garnacho's preference is reportedly to stay in the Premier League.

Taking to social media, United fans have stated that selling Garnacho to Bayern could end up ruining Liverpool's plans to buy Alexander Isak.

One fan said: "Would be a nice power move this. Diaz wouldn’t move to Bayern meaning Liverpool won’t get the funds to buy Isak. Hopefully Garnacho agrees to this and we also put in a 30% sell on clause if fee is less than £60m."

Another tweeted: "Hear me out, sell him to Bayern with a price less than Diaz, so Liverpool don't have funds for Isak."

A third fan added: "Garna to Bayern, Diaz stays with Liverpool, no Isak for them."

Someone else wrote: "If u go then Liverpool are stuck with Lucho and that means no Isak."
