Former Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho has spoken out for the first time since leaving the club to join Chelsea.
After a long summer transfer window linking him with several clubs across Europe, Garnacho finally secured a move from United to Premier League rivals Chelsea on Saturday.
The Argentina international has reportedly signed a contract until 2032, with United set to receive a transfer fee of £40million, with a 10 per cent sell-on clause also included in the deal.
Since the move was announced, Garnacho has shared several posts about joining his new club, having said that it was an amazing feeling to join the club after he supported them for some of his childhood.

But now, he has finally spoken out directly to United fans in his first statement directed at his former club since the controversial move.

Garnacho spent five years at United, making 144 appearances and scoring 26 goals, but was recently frozen out by head coach Ruben Amorim, leading to the move.
Despite this, the 21-year-old had nothing but good things to say about his former club, writing on Instagram: "Dear Mánchester

"After an unforgettable five years, this special chapter in my life now comes to a close. We have created moments that will stay with me forever, and I’m very grateful for this.
"To the coaches, staff, and my teammates, thank you for believing in me. Every time I wore the badge, I gave everything I had.
"I leave proud of what we achieved together and excited for what’s to come. Wishing the club nothing but success for the future, while I look forward to giving my all in the next chapter of my career."

Alongside Garnacho, several of the other United players that recently fell out with Amorim have also secured moves away from the club this summer.
Early in the window, England international Marcus Rashford secured his dream move to La Liga champions Barcelona, joining the Spanish side on a season-long loan with an option to buy for £30.3m.
Deadline day has also seen Jadon Sancho leave to join Premier League rivals Aston Villa on a season-long loan, while Antony is set to join La Liga side Real Betis in a £25m deal including a 50% sell-on clause following a successful loan for the latter part of last season.
