Jadon Sancho may last longer than Erik ten Hag at Man Utd as odds slashed on manager being sacked

Jadon Sancho may last longer than Erik ten Hag at Man Utd as odds slashed on manager being sacked

Jadon Sancho’s Manchester United future is in doubt after a public spat with Erik ten Hag

Jadon Sancho could last longer than Erik ten Hag at Manchester United as odds have been slashed on the Dutchman being sacked.

On Tuesday night, United produced a mistake-filled display as they were beaten 3-2 by Turkish champions Galatasaray.

The defeat left United bottom of their Champions League group after two matches with Bayern Munich top with six points.

Since then, the odds on Ten Hag being sacked have been slashed.

At the time of writing, according to OddsChecker, Ten Hag is now the second favourite to be sacked next after being priced at 7/2. Sheffield United boss Paul Heckingbottom remains the favourite to face the axe at 4/5.

This could be that Ten Hag could potentially be gone before Sancho, whose future remains uncertain after his public spat with the Dutchman.

It was reported earlier in the week that Sancho is likely to leave the Old Trafford club in January after he reportedly refused to apologise to Ten Hag.

With United’s current form, Ten Hag will need to start recording better results otherwise he could be in danger of being dismissed.

Speaking after the match against Galatasaray, Ten Hag was asked whether he feels concerned about his position.

He said: “Last season: brilliant, terrific, more than we could expect but also when we went into this project we knew there would be common gaps and in this moment we are in a very difficult period, as everyone can see.

“But we come out together, we are fighting together, we are sticking together, behind each other, it's me, the directors, the team, all together, we will fight and this is not us. We know we have to do better and in togetherness we will come out.”

United are back in Premier League action this weekend as they host Brentford at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
