Manchester United fans are adamant that FC Copenhagen’s first goal should have been disallowed.

On Wednesday night, United were hoping to record back-to-back victories in the Champions League.

Currently, Erik ten Hag’s men are sat in third place in Group A after winning one and losing two of their first three fixtures.

The Red Devils got off to the perfect start after summer signing Rasmus Hojlund scored twice in the first 15 minutes.

However, things changed when United man Marcus Rashford was shown a straight red card after a lengthy VAR check.

From there, Copenhagen got themselves back into the match thanks to goals by Mohamed Elyounoussi and Diogo Goncalves.

After watching the replay of Elyounoussi’s goal, United fans have taken to social media to express their displeasure as they are adamant the goal should have been disallowed for offside.

One fan uploaded a screenshot of the goal and wrote: “Here's a Copenhagen player in an offside position, interfering with Onana's line of sight for goal 1.”

Another tweeted: “Would be offside if it was the other way around.”

A third fan added: “We are being robbed week in week out, it's clear corruption.”

Someone else wrote: “How have they not checked that on VAR? He is in front of Onana blocking his view.”

A fifth commented: "That player was offside. Where is VAR when you need it the most?"

To make matters worse, Copenhagen were then given a penalty after Harry Maguire was adjudged to have handled the ball inside the penalty area.
