Fans think two major decisions from Pep Guardiola cost Manchester City the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace.

Palace won 1-0 through Eberechi Eze's first half strike, with City unable to equalise despite a host of chances.

Omar Marmoush also missed a penalty shortly before half-time, while City felt Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson should have been sent off for the denial of a clear goalscoring opportunity by handling the ball outside the area.

But City ultimately fell foul of poor decision making in front of goal, with Erling Haaland and Nico O'Reilly among those to spurn key opportunities.

Some fans have blamed Guardiola's substitutions in the second half, believing that some underperforming players should have been taken off earlier.

Savinho and Bernardo Silva were both substituted in the final 15 minutes of the game, but fans felt fresh legs should have been brought on with more of the match remaining.

One fan wrote: "88th minute is when he's finally taking off Bernardo honestly you deserve this loss Pep."

Another said: "Playing Savinho for that long didn't help. Offers nothing but running into the first man."

A third added: "Pep single handedly losing this game. Wasn't the right matchup to start both Doku and Savinho."

And a fourth said: "Savinho getting 75 minutes is nuts."
