
Scott Carson's remarkable trophy haul at Manchester City has sparked widespread debate on social media after a shocking statistic was revealed.
The 39-year-old goalkeeper began his career in 2003 with Leeds United, before he joined Liverpool, where he won the Champions League in 2005.
Carson then had stints at West Bromwich Albion, Wigan Athletic and Derby County, among others.

In 2019, he joined Manchester City on loan as third-choice goalkeeper.
The deal was then extended for the following season and following the expiry of his contract at Derby, he joined City permanently.
He was valued as an experienced mentor to first-choice goalkeeper Ederson, with Txiki Begiristain also crediting the impact his experience had upon the younger squad members.

Over 6 years at the club, Carson made just two appearance, playing for a total 108 minutes.
But in that time he won an astonishing 11 trophies.
The list includes: four Premier League titles, a Champions League, two League Cups, two Community Shields, the Club World Cup and the UEFA Supercup.
It means Carson averaged a trophy every 9.8 minutes he played for City.

Carson debut
Carson's City debut came in May 2021, which was their first game after winning the Premier League title.

In his first English top-flight appearance for nearly a decade, he conceded three as City beat Newcastle United 4-3 at St James' Park in a chaotic end of season game.
He did however save a penalty, but he was unable to stop Joe Willock from converting the rebound.
Carson's night in Europe
Carson's second and final appearance for Manchester City came off the bench in the second leg of a Champions League last-16 tie against Sporting CP.
With City leading 5-0 on aggregate, Carson was brought on for the final 17 minutes at the Etihad.
He made an impressive save from Paulinho shortly after coming on, but was not tested again, as he secured a clean sheet.
