Manchester City appear to be closing in on their first transfer of a busy summer window after reports that one of their top targets cancelled his holiday.
After finishing third in the Premier League and failing to win silverware for only the second season under Pep Guardiola, City are expected to be very active in the transfer market.
They splashed out £180 million on four new recruits in the January window but will look to further rebuild their squad this summer under the direction of new director of football Hugo Viana.

The Blues are pressing forward with a pursuit of AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders, with the Daily Mail claiming that they hope to secure his signature prior to the tournament getting underway.

And it seems as though the Netherlands international is making moves to accelerate the deal. According to reports in Italy, via City Xtra, Reijnders has cancelled a family holiday in which was previously booked for early July.

The Reijnders clan were poised to head to Ibiza but the trip appears to have been scrapped - potentially to allow the 26-year-old to sign for City and feature in the Club World Cup.
£55 million has been the figure mentioned for Reijnders, who scored 15 goals in all competitions for Milan as they finished down in eighth in Serie A and failed to qualify for European football.

City feel as though the former AZ Alkmaar man can be a key part of their midfield rebuild, with ESPN's Rob Dawson reporting that they are in advanced negotiations over a deal for Reijnders.

Nottingham Forest and England star Morgan Gibbs-White is also a primary target for City, who pulled out of the race for Liverpool-bound Florian Wirtz.
Wolves full-back Rayan Ait-Nouri is also a player City hold interest in as they look to strengthen their backline.
City kick off their Club World Cup campaign against Wydad AC of Morocco on 18 June, before they face Al Ain and Juventus.
