Man City release hilarious video to announce Kyle Walker's contract extension

Manchester City have released a hilarious video on social media to announce Kyle Walker's contract extension.

Walker was strongly linked with a move to Bayern Munich during the summer transfer. He was asked about his future following England's Euro 2024 qualifier against Ukraine last Saturday.

But the 33-year-old has signed a new deal at the Etihad, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2026.

His current contract was due to expire at the end of the season, but he has penned a new two-year extension.

The Blues announced the news by sharing a video of Walker doing his best Jordan Belfort impression.

The footage shows the England international belting out a legendary line from 'The Wolf of Wall Street'.

On signing a new deal at Man City, Walker said: "I'm thrilled to sign a new deal. My future is with Manchester City and that is the best thing for me.

"I’ve enjoyed every single moment of the past six years at this fantastic Club. I have an amazing coach, great team-mates and staff and our fans are the best. I feel supported on every single level.

"The Treble-winning season is one I will never forget and we’re ready to go again and try to win more trophies. I am delighted to continue at a Club that competes for trophies every year and I can’t wait to see what the next few years bring."

Walker has been at Man City since 2017, making 260 appearances for the club, scoring six goals.

He's won five Premier League titles, four EFL Cups, two FA Cups and the Champions League during his trophy-laden spell.
