A video of Jack Grealish speaking with Aston Villa fans after their 1-0 loss to Club Brugge in the Champions League has gone viral online.

Champions League action returned this week for the fourth matchday of the 2024 season, as the top clubs in Europe completed to the new league format.

The biggest shocks of the week came as both Manchester City and Aston Villa lost their games to Sporting CP and Club Brugge, taking both teams outside of the top seven in the league.

However, that didn't stop City forward Grealish from partying with fans from his former club Villa and, after a video of his antics emerged online, it has got fans talking about his future.

Despite losing 1-0 to Club Brugge on Wednesday night, Villa fans partied in Belgium with Grealish who joined them via a Facetime call.

And although Grealish left the the club in 2021, the video shows that Villa fans clearly still appreciate the winger for all that he did for the club during his time there.

Reacting to the viral clip on social media, one fan wrote: "What's party without Jack?"

Another agreed, adding: "He’s such a real one. Literally one of the lads!"

While one fan suggested that the clear love that Grealish clearly still has for his former club could suggest he may return there soon, writing: "Can see him going back to Villa."

Grealish left his boyhood club Villa in the summer of 2021 for a then-British record fee of £100 million.

However, the Englishman has struggled to nail down a starting place amid the impressive attacking talents at Pep Guardiola's disposal, leading to him scoring just 14 goals in 135 appearances for City.

This lead to one frustrated City fan on social media reacting to the clip by writing: "He really has Villa mentality this is why he’s struggling to perform for City. Send him back to Villa so he can continue begging for their validation."

The 29-year-old hasn't featured for Man City since appearing as a second-half substitute during his side's dramatic victory against Wolves last month, leading some to theorise that his departure from the Etihad could be imminent.
