Well-placed sources have offered a clue as to where Luis Enrique will be managing next season amid reported interest from Manchester United.
Enrique, who is widely considered one of the best coaches in Europe, having won the Champions League with Barcelona in 2015 and PSG in 2025, has been linked with a move to the Premier League for some time.
The Spaniard has been mooted as a potential successor to Michael Carrick, with the Man Utd boss currently contracted to the Red Devils until the end of the 2025/26 campaign, despite the Englishman’s arrival coinciding with an upturn in the 20-time Premier League champions’ form.
As for Enrique, it was always going to be difficult to replicate a treble-winning campaign, with the Paris club winning Ligue 1, the Coupe de France and the Champions League last term. This season, despite still being a formidable team, PSG’s form has dropped off somewhat, with Lens currently one point behind them in the French top flight.

So, could a change of scenery tempt Enrique to leave?
As reported by the i Paper, sources in Paris are adamant that the Spaniard will sign a new deal at PSG, with his current contract set to run until 2027, and the club’s hierarchy is said to be fully behind his long-term project.
The outlet also reports that Enrique is high on the list of potential candidates for the United job, but Carrick remains the favourite at this stage.
United chief executive Omar Berrada and director of football Jason Wilcox remain keen on Enrique, while INEOS see Carrick as a better fit.
However, Enrique is reportedly keeping an eye on the blue side of Manchester to see how Pep Guardiola’s future develops, with the City boss out of contract in 2027.
The pair played together at Barcelona and boast a close relationship.
Enrique’s ability to speak English may prove a huge advantage for the coach, who has previously suggested he would like to manage in England.
Speaking to Cadena Ser in 2023, he said: “I follow above all the Premier League because I would like to go to England to work.
“I wouldn’t go to any team but one that could do important things, which greatly reduces the number. I don’t get my hopes up, really, because there are many candidates.”
