Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique had the CBS Sports panel in stitches with a comment about Mikel Arteta following his side’s 6–5 aggregate victory over Bayern in the Champions League semi-final.
PSG progressed to a second Champions League final in a row with a 1–1 draw (6–5 on aggregate) against Vincent Kompany’s Bayern on Wednesday.
Ousmane Dembélé opened the scoring just three minutes in, handing the European champions a two-goal buffer over the Bundesliga giants.
PSG’s defence dealt well with Bayern’s attackers, with Harry Kane and Michael Olise nullified throughout the game until the Englishman finally got on the scoresheet in second-half stoppage time.

Kane’s strike was merely a consolation as the Ligue 1 outfit set up a mouth-watering final against Arsenal in Budapest on May 30.
As expected, after the match, PSG boss Enrique was in a jubilant mood while speaking to the CBS Sports panel, made up of Jamie Carragher, Thierry Henry, Clint Dempsey, Micah Richards and Kate Scott.
The former Liverpool defender explained how the panel usually hosts a pre-Champions League final party and invited Enrique. However, the Spaniard politely turned down the offer before suggesting they should ask Arsenal boss Arteta to make an appearance at the gathering.
Enrique joked: “No, no, no, I will not be there, but you invite Mikel Arteta. I think he deserves to go a day before the final with you,” which caused the panel to break into laughter.
The PSG boss also discussed his side’s Champions League final opponents in his post-match press conference, describing Arsenal as “one of the best teams” this season.
He said: “Do I believe we can win the final? Yes.
“Do you remember what I said after the group stage?
“I said I don’t see any team being better than we are. The critics were saying that PSG are maybe not that great, but I was right.
“Bayern are at our level and Arsenal have been one of the best teams this season. They have had an incredible year and are still chasing the Premier League.
“They are in the final, but I believe in my team and it is important to underline that.
“We have shown over the last three years that we are ready to play against any opponents. This is a team you can count on because we are always fighting.”
PSG return to Ligue 1 action at home against Brest on May 10.
