A former Liverpool star has revealed what he saw Virgil van Dijk do during the Reds' match against Crystal Palace.
On Wednesday night, Liverpool welcomed Palace to Anfield for what was already their third meeting of the 25/26 season.
With Palace leading 2-0 in the head-to-head, Liverpool were looking to return to winning ways after suffering another defeat in the Premier League last weekend.
However, with matches against the likes of Aston Villa and Real Madrid on the horizon, Arne Slot named a much-changed starting XI.

Slot's decision backfired as a brace from Ismaila Sarr plus a goal by Yeremy Pino sealed a comfortable 3-0 win for Palace.
In the second half, Slot brought on young defender Amara Nallo for Alexis Mac Allister.
However, after just 12 minutes on the pitch, Nallo was sent off after bringing down Justin Devenny, who was through on goal.
As a result, Nallo has now been sent off in both of his competitive appearances for the Reds.

Reacting to the sending off, former Liverpool full-back Stephen Warnock pointed out captain Van Dijk's reaction.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, Warnock noted that Van Dijk was seen heading down to the tunnel, presumably to offer some much-needed words for the young centre-back.
Warnock said: "What a horrible feeling for the youngster, Amara Nallo. There is nothing worse than knowing you have been sent off on your debut. Then there is the next game, you make an error and it leads to another sending off.

"I have just seen Virgil van Dijk walk down the tunnel. You have to try pick the youngster up."
What did Arne Slot say about Amara Nallo's red card?
After the match, Slot was asked if there was ‘anything he can say’ to Nallo after his red card.
The Dutchman replied: "I didn’t need to say that much. Another thing which I liked – it’s not the most important thing – but Ibou and Virgil immediately went inside to talk to him.

"That tells me that they are great human beings in a moment like this when a young player for the second time is being sent off – maybe the first time after he played against PSV [Eindhoven], I’m not 100% sure, but I think he did – that they feel how difficult that moment for him is, to go inside and be supportive for him. It wasn’t needed that I took care of him. These two already took care of him."
Liverpool are back in Premier League action this weekend when they welcome Unai Emery's high-flying Villa to Anfield on Saturday night.
