Liverpool are considering sanctioning another player's sale following the departures of Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez.

Liverpool have splashed the cash to recruit new players this summer, having snapped up Florian Wirtz, who cost a club-record £116 million, Hugo Ekitike and Milos Kerkez, among others - with the club set to submit another bid for Alexander Isak.

But Arne Slot has also offloaded talent, including Diaz and Nunez.

Diaz joined Bayern Munich for £65.5 million and Nunez signed for Al Hilal in a deal worth £53 million.

And more exits could follow ahead of next month's transfer deadline.

According to a report from The Athletic, the Reds are considering loan approaches for youngster Lewis Koumas.

Liverpool's stance has alerted several clubs, including Sheffield United, Hull City, Wrexham and Preston North End, who are all interested in taking him on this season.

Norwich City were keen but opted to sign Jovon Makama from League One side Lincoln City instead.

Koumas has also attracted some permanent interest.

The 19-year-old, the son of former Wales international Jason Koumas, graduated from Liverpool's academy before making his senior debut.

He played from the start against Southampton in an FA Cup tie and scored in his side's 3-0 win.

Koumas, who plays as a winger or forward, enjoyed a loan spell at Stoke City last season. He scored six goals in 49 games across all competitions for The Potters.

Who else could leave Liverpool this summer?

Koumas isn't the only Liverpool player who could leave this summer.

Fellow youngsters James McConnell and Kaide Gordon have also been linked with moves away from Anfield.

And in terms of senior players, Harvey Elliott's future remains unclear.

Elliott has been the subject of intense transfer speculation after starring at the under-21 Euros earlier this summer.

Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig view him as a potential replacement for Simons, but have yet to table a concrete offer, per the report.

Kostas Tsimikas is expected to leave before the window slams shut, too. He wants to join a club who can offer European football, with Marseille mooted as a potential destination.
