Fans have hit out at one Paris Saint-Germain player after their one disastrous mistake led to Liverpool grabbing a shock win in their Champions League clash.

On Wednesday night, Liverpool pulled off a shocking smash and grab victory over Paris Saint-Germain, as they beat the Ligue 1 giants 1-0 at the Parc des Princes in Paris.

The French champions dominated the entire match but failed to find the back of the net thanks to a heroic performance from Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker.

And in the wake of the match, fans have taken to social media to call out one PSG player, as they've blamed him for allowing his side to go into the second leg at Anfield 1-0 down.

A late opportunity in the match crafted by substitutes Darwin Nunez and Harvey Elliot led Liverpool's only significant chance of the game, which was calmly taken by the young Englishman who put the visitors 1-0 up.

However, many fans have pointed out that the PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma could and should have done more to stop the goal, and they've take to social media to make their feelings known.

"Donnarumma had nothing to do for 90 mins yet let’s in the very first shot he faced all night. most overrated gk of all time."

While one claimed: "There is just not a worse Gk in the ucl than Donnarumma in the last 4 years."

And another wrote: "So you’re telling me Alisson had a thousand saves to make and he made all of them and Donnarumma had one and couldn’t make it, how is this guy still playing at the top level of elite football?"

Another added: "The difference maker in this game is one team has Allison in goal and the other has Donnarumma in goal."

The Italian keeper had a very quiet night in Paris, but ultimately fell short when his team needed him most at the end of the match.

What perhaps made the moment look even worse for Donnarumma was the performance of his rival on the other end of the pitch, Alisson, who made a massive nine saves during the match.
