Liverpool's squad for their upcoming pre-season tour has been announced but two players have been left out.

The Reds are jetting out to the United States for pre-season clashes with Real Betis, Arsenal, Manchester United and Sevilla.

The vast majority of Arne Slot's "initial" 28-man squad is missing due to being given time off from the Copa America and Euro 2024 tournaments.

The likes of Mo Salah, Wataru Endo, Dominik Szoboszlai, Andy Robertson, Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones are all in the mix, alongside a slew of young players.

However, Liverpool fans have noticed that two players will not be travelling.

Youngsters Bobby Clark and Jayden Danns, who both helped their Reds in their Carabao Cup triumph last season, have not been included.

The general consensus is that the pair will be on the move this summer, potentially being loaned out for further first-team experience.

But James Pearce from The Athletic says that their absences are injury-related.

Danns is suffering from discomfort in his back, while Clark is also recovering from a problem in the same area and will continue rehab at the AXA training centre.

Nevertheless, fans had plenty of reaction to the duo not getting the call-up for the trip across the pond.

One wrote: "No Danns and Clark has to mean both going on loan?"

A second said: "Danns probably getting a loan then? I’m all for it, personally. Needs to get more used to his body (not a diss on him btw, very common for players his age)."

A third added: "Hopefully both Danns and Clark are looking for loan moves in the champ."

A final person commented: "No Danns? No Clark? Surely this means they’re getting loaned out."

Danns made five appearances for Liverpool's first-team last term and scored two goals.

He has been heavily linked with a move to Plymouth Argyle, managed by former Manchester United and England captain Wayne Rooney.
