Liverpool fans have been reacting on social media after watching the Reds' match against Burnley.

Heading into the latest Premier League weekend, Liverpool remain the only team with a 100% record, having won against Bournemouth, Newcastle United and Arsenal.

However, ahead of kick-off, Arne Slot's men dropped down table after Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur won.

Faced with a stubborn Burnley defence, Liverpool struggled to break through and were limited to long-range efforts.

In the end, Scott Parker's men were left heartbroken after Mohamed Salah scored a penalty deep into extra time, after Hannibal handled the ball.

After their late winner, the Reds' 100% record continued as they climbed back to the top of the Premier League.

Despite scoring the winner, fans were still unimpressed with the performance of Salah, who failed to make an impact for the Reds before his goal.

One fan said: "This is definitely the worst I’ve seen Salah at the start of a season."

Another tweeted: "We’re actually playing a man down with Salah here."

A third fan added: "Salah having another terrible game. Need Isak and fast."

Someone else wrote: "Salah deff not his normal self. Need a goal soon."

A fifth commented: "This from Salah may be the worst individual performance of all time."

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, ex-Everton and England star Leon Osman said: "People will see the scoreline, and it will probably seem straightforward. Liverpool were decent in possession, but they didn't move the ball quick enough. Burnley were tireless in their desire and hunger.

"Premier League champions figure out a way of winning games Top players may feel they're not involved, but Mo Salah is the name on the scoresheet to be the difference today. Agonising for Burnley."
