Jordan Henderson becomes highest-paid England player after Al Ettifaq transfer as full list emerges

Jordan Henderson has reportedly become England’s highest paid player ever after sealing a move from Liverpool to Al Ettifaq.

After 12 trophy-laden years at Anfield, it was confirmed on Thursday that Henderson has finalised a move from Liverpool to Saudi Professional League side Al Ettifaq.

It has been reported that Henderson will earn a whopping £700,000 per week during his stay with Steven Gerrard’s side.

The former Liverpool captain is set to make an eye-water £36 million a year, which will equate to £108 million for the duration of his three-year deal.

In addition, the 33-year-old goes straight to the top as the highest earning England player, in addition, he has now also become England's highest earning player ever.

According to The Sun, Henderson is followed by Manchester United duo Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho, who takes home £375,000 and £350,000 per week respectively.


Three Lions captain Harry Kane is only the 12th highest paid England player as he reportedly earns £200,000 per week at Tottenham Hotspur.

After joining Al Ettifaq, Henderson wrote on social media: “Delighted to announce I’ve signed for @ettifaq. New challenge ahead, can’t wait to get going. Welcome to Saudi Arabia.”
