Jamie Carragher has revealed the one player he hopes Liverpool sign this summer before the transfer window closes.
Liverpool have been quiet so far in the 2024/25 summer transfer window, as they remain the only Premier League club yet to make a signing ahead of the upcoming season.
The Merseyside club looked likely to secure the signing of Spanish midfielder Martin Zubimendi this week, but the deal fell through on Monday after the 25-year-old decided to stay with boyhood club Real Sociedad.
And now former Liverpool defender Carragher has had his say on who he wants to see come to the club before the transfer window closes on August 30.

Carragher named fellow Evertonian Anthony Gordon as his dream summer signing, likening him to a Liverpool legend.
Speaking to The Mirror, he said: āIād like us to sign Anthony Gordon. I think Anthony Gordonās pace is frightening, I think itās like youāre watching a game on TV and you just go āwoahā when you see someone leave a fullback.
āThatās what I think he could add if that was the case, if he was to come in and maybe Liverpool were interested like the end of last month.
āI think itās that pace, Maneās pace basically. I do think we lack that in attack.ā
Reports have suggested that Liverpool have already been attempting to bring Gordon to Anfield after agreeing a deal in June which fell through.
The Daily Mail have reported that with Newcastle forced to sell players to pass the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability regulations, the club agreed with to sell the winger for £75million with Joe Gomez heading in the opposite direction for £45m.
But, after the sales of Yankuba Minteh to Brighton and Elliot Anderson to Nottingham Forest, Newcastle no longer need to sell Gordon to follow the regulations and so, the move was called off despite medicals being pencilled in.

Gordon enjoyed a breakout season for the Magpies in 2023/24, culminating in him being selected for Gareth Southgate's England squad for Euro 2024.
The 23-year-old scored 12 goals and assisted 11 in 48 appearances for Newcastle last season, and made one appearance for the Three Lions at the European Championships.
