Gary Neville's hilarious reaction to Aston Villa equaliser vs Liverpool goes viral

Gary Neville's hilarious reaction to Aston Villa equaliser vs Liverpool goes viral

Liverpool threw away a two goal lead in the last five minutes of the match.

Gary Neville gave a hilarious reaction to Aston Villa's equaliser against Liverpool in the Monday Night Football studio as behind-the-scenes footage has now been released.

Aston Villa snatched what could prove to be the point that secures them Champions League football in a dramatic six-goal thriller at Villa Park.

The home side came from two behind to draw with Liverpool, with Jhon Duran bagging a quick-fire brace from the bench to level the scores.

Despite avoiding defeat, Jurgen Klopp's final away game as Liverpool manager may feel tainted for fans of the Reds with all hopes of some sort of fairy tail finish lie at Anfield on the final day.

Liverpool cruised into a 3-1 lead with goals from Cody Gakpo, Jarrel Quansah, and a disastrous own goal from Emi Martinez who dropped the ball into his own goal inside two minutes.

Villa had chances to get back in the game, and even had a goal from Ollie Watkins chalked off in the second half due to a marginal offside.

Duran only entered the frame with 10 minutes to go but he certainly made his mark.

He rifled the ball past Alisson from outside the box with five minutes to play and almost instantaneously bagged his brace with one of the more unique goals we will see this season.

The ball was fired into the Colombian who didn't break stride to flick a boot and lob the Liverpool goalkeeper.

Duran's goal sent the MNF studio wild, with Neville giving a priceless reaction by sprinting around the studio like he'd scored himself right in the face of Jamie Carragher.

The former United defender gave one of his iconic 'Ooo's' as Duran found the net, as Carragher watched on in disbelief of his side throwing away the three points.

Whether the finish was intended or not it has certainly helped Villa who now sit five points ahead of Tottenham in the race for fourth.

Spurs host Manchester City this evening, which looks like it will be the match to decide the title.
