All five of David Coote's VAR decisions involving Liverpool have re-emerged after a video went viral online of the referee appearing to say disparaging comments about the club.

On Monday, a clip went viral on social media where Premier League referee Coote appears to make some shocking comments about Liverpool and former manager Jurgen Klopp

In response to the video, the PGMOL has launched a full investigation into the video and Coote has been suspended with 'immediate effect'.

And now, the five VAR decisions that Coote made involving Liverpool have re-emerged online.

While Coote has refereed just three Premier League matches involving the Reds, he has been on VAR duty for 13 of them, where he has cause five decisions to be overturned.

Manchester United 1-1 Liverpool, October 2019

Coote's first VAR intervention in a Liverpool match came during the highly-anticipated annual clash with rivals Manchester United.

Liverpool fans hoped that the VAR official would intervene after Divock Origi appeared to be fouled in the build up to Marcus Rashford's opening goal.

However, his first action in the game was advising referee Martin Atkinson to disallow Sadio Mane's equaliser, after pointing out that the Senegalese winger had controlled the ball with his hand.

Everton 2-2 Liverpool, October 2020

The 2020 Merseyside derby at Goodison Park was perhaps one of the most controversial matches in recent years after a challenge from Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford sidelined Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk for nine months with an ACL injury.

In the dying moments of the game, Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson scored what looked to be a winning goal, but Coote and VAR intervened to disallow the goal as Mane was deemed to be in an offside position.

Liverpool 2-0 Everton, October 2023

In another fierce Merseyside derby, referee Craig Pawson wasn't convinced by Liverpool's calls for a penalty after Everton defender Michael Keane committed a handball in the box.

But, Coote chimed in to advise Pawson to review the moment on the monitor, and the penalty was given, allowing Mohamed Salah to open the scoring.

Everton 2-0 Liverpool, April 2024

Just six months later in the second Merseyside derby of the 2023/24 season, Coote cancelled a penalty that referee Andy Madley had given to Everton, after determining that striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin was offside in the build-up to the foul.

Liverpool 2-0 Wolves, May 2024

Coote's final VAR involvement in a Liverpool game ironically came during the Klopp's final Premier League match.

After reviewing Wolves defender Nelson Semedo's foul on Alexis Mac Allister, the right-back was sent off for serious foul play.
