PSG star Bradley Barcola has appeared to open the door to a surprise transfer to Liverpool this summer.

The France international recently celebrated his first Champions League trophy win, having played a key role in his side's progression through the competition.

The 22-year-old winger and forward was one of the star men across two legs against Liverpool, with Luis Enrique's side defeating the Reds on penalties in the last 16.

In Ligue 1, Barcola scored 14 goals and provided 10 assists as PSG won the title with six games to spare at the beginning of April.

Liverpool, meanwhile, are in the midst of one of the biggest summers in their history after winning the Premier League, with Arne Slot's side closing in on a stunning move for Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz.

BBC Sport report that the Reds are set to sign Wirtz for a potential fee of £114 million including add-ons which, if finalised, would break the British transfer record.

They also activated the release clause of around £30 million contained within Wirtz's Leverkusen team-mate Jeremie Frimpong's contract, and are also in talks to sign left-back Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth.

Barcola could become yet another big-money addition, with The Sun claiming that he is on Liverpool's shortlist.

The Reds are in search of a new centre forward, and Barcola's versatility that means he can play up front and on the right wing when Mohamed Salah is unavailable could make him the ideal candidate.

L'Equipe reported in April that Barcola was 'hesitant' to sign a new contract with PSG as he wanted to wait and see whether the French giants added to their attacking ranks over the summer.

The 22-year-old started the 5-0 Champions League final win over Inter Milan on the bench before being brought on by Enrique in the second leg.

For their part, however, PSG have no intention of selling Barcola to either Liverpool or Bayern Munich, who are also believed to be interested.

That's according to Foot Mercato, who say that he 'remains a central part of Luis Enrique's long-term project', and that the club consider him to be 'non-transferrable'.

The player is said to be keen to stay at the club to continue his development - but an attractive offer from Liverpool could make him reconsider.
