Bayern Munich honorary president Uli Hoeness has spoken about the ongoing transfer saga involving Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz.
Wirtz, 22, is set to be one of the most sought-after players when the summer transfer window opens.
The German has played a key role in the Leverkusen team under Xabi Alonso in recent years.

This season, Wirtz has recorded 16 goals and 15 assists in 45 appearances across all competitions.
As a result of his impressive performances, Wirtz has been linked with the likes of Bayern, Liverpool and Manchester City.
Recently, The Athletic's David Ornstein said: "Liverpool make contact with Florian Wirtz camp to express interest in signing playmaker if he leaves Bayer Leverkusen & is keen on moving to England. #LFC admiration long-standing but unclear whether 22yo plans to exit #Bayer04 or Germany @TheAthleticFC."

It has been widely reported that Bayern are the favourites to sign the 22-year-old and that the player's representatives met with Manchester City recently.
However, Bayern chief Hoeness has now made an honest admission on the transfer saga.
As reported by This Is Anfield, Hoeness said: "What am I supposed to tell you now? You’ve been writing nonsense for weeks about him going to Manchester City, even though he was at Liverpool.
"At some point, we’ll provide you with facts — not more speculation!"
Away from Wirtz, Liverpool are expected to complete a deal to sign his Leverkusen teammate, Jeremie Frimpong.

The 24-year-old Dutchman is set to join the Anfield club as Trent Alexander-Arnold's replacement.
Ornstein added: "Jeremie Frimpong poised to undergo medical ahead of completing proposed move from Bayer Leverkusen to Liverpool. 24yo Netherlands international right-back has agreed 5yr deal + #LFC will activate ~€35m release clause in #Bayer04 contract @TheAthleticFC."
Liverpool are back in Premier League action on Monday night when they take on Brighton and Hove Albion at the AMEX.
