Liverpool fans have demanded that Arne Slot sign one Premier League star to replace a current player.

On Saturday, Liverpool had to dig deep into their resources as they came from 1-0 down to beat bottom-of-the-table Southampton at Anfield.

After Will Smallbone gave the visitors the lead at half-time, Liverpool moved up the gears in the second period as Mohamed Salah scored twice while Darwin Nunez got one to secure a 3-1 win.

On Sunday afternoon, Liverpool fans took to social media and demanded the club sign Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez as a replacement for Andrew Robertson.

The Hungarian produced a stunning cross in the first half to assist Bournemouth's first goal against Tottenham Hotspur, which was scored by Marcus Tavernier.

Reacting on social media, one fan said: "Hope we get Kerkez from Bournemouth next season. That run and cross just now was peak Robertson."

Another tweeted: "Kerkez seems like the most obvious Robertson replacement, great fullback."

A third fan added: "Mate I just can’t see why we wouldn’t go for Kerkez. So similar to Robertson it’s crazy."

Someone else wrote: "The energy and running power that Kerkez has is so similar to peak Robertson for us, he never stops."

A fifth commented: "Kerkez… that’s prime Robertson-esque."

Another fan said: "Kerkez assist against Tottenham, just as prime Robertson."

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, former Spurs defender Stephen Kelly said: "Tottenham are not able to keep possession at all. They’re giving the ball away in really poor areas. Inevitable that Pedro Porro was going to give the ball away. Really poor.

"Take nothing away from Milos Kerkez. He drives 70-yards with the ball, he is so far out on the left-hand-side and he whips this in on a sixpence for Marcus Tavernier."

Aside from Liverpool, Kerkez has previously been linked with the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City.
