Incoming Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola is reportedly demanded five new signings to rebuild the Reds following the sacking of Arne Slot.

After a fifth place finish which secured Champions League football, Liverpool confirmed Slot had been relieved of his duties on Saturday just a year after guiding the Merseyside outfit to a 20th league title.

Iraola was immediately instilled as the favourite to replace Slot having decided to leave Bournemouth upon the expiration of his contract.

The Spaniard is renowned for a direct, intense style of football that Liverpool fans crave and there are reports that his arrival at Anfield could be imminent.

With Mo Salah, Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate all leaving on free transfers, Liverpool are in desperate need of reinforcements this summer.

According to the report, an elite winger is a priority for Liverpool and they are looking at both Yan Diomande of RB Leipzig and Paris Saint-Germain star Bradley Barcola for the position.

Closer to home, they could also opt for West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen after the Irons' suffered relegation from the Premier League on the final day.

Liverpool are also crying out for a top midfielder and hold interest in Crystal Palace's Adam Wharton, while they like Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries.

The Netherlands international is also being tracked by Real Madrid and has a €25 million release clause which must be activated in July.

In terms of outgoings, Alisson Becker and Curtis Jones have interest from Italy in the form of Juventus and Inter Milan, with Federico Chiesa also likely to head back to his native country.

Joe Gomez's future is also unclear going into the summer window.

Ibrahima Konate 'agrees terms' for Liverpool exit

The departures for Salah and Robertson were common knowledge for a whole but Konate's exit on a free only just emerged this past weekend as he failed to agree a new contract.

The two parties were locked in negotiations over a contract extensions but ultimately no agreement was reached, with the Frenchman moving onto pastures new.

On Instagram, Konate that he was "deeply saddened that I didn't get the chance to say goodbye to all of you at the last game" as he claimed he "didn't know it would be my final time wearing this shirt in front of you".

Konate is focusing on the World Cup with France but Radioestadio Noche say that he is set to sign for Real, who have a long-standing interest in the former RB Leipzig man.

It's said Florentino Perez is using the deal as part of his campaign to be re-elected as Los Blancos president.

Liverpool have young defenders Jeremy Jacquet and Giovanni Leoni ready to step up but there is even a suggestion that they could look to bring back former centre-back Jarrel Quansah from Bayer Leverkusen.

A buy-back clause of around £70 million was included in the deal which saw him move to Germany.
