Laura Woods' Return To TV Confirmed After Collapsing Live On Air

Woods collapsed during ITV's coverage of England versus Ghana.

Laura Woods is set to return to TV presenting after collapsing live on air before the women's international friendly between England and Ghana last Tuesday.

Woods collapsed while presenting ITV's coverage of the fixture, which England won 2-0 through goals from Lucia Kendall and Alessia Russo.

She was caught by pundits Ian Wright and former Lionesses defender Anita Asante, with cameras quickly cutting to an advert break.

Woods was replaced by pitchside reporter Katie Shanahan, who provided regular updates on her condition, for the remainder of the coverage.

Shortly after full-time, Woods took to Instagram to confirm that she was 'ok', with paramedics believing that she was suffering from a virus.

Speaking on The Overlap's Stick to Football on Thursday - under two days after the incident - Wright said that Woods was 'fine', adding: "I got a message from her this morning. It was worrying at the time but she's fine. People have been really nice about it. I'm glad she's okay."

Woods is now set to return to television with TNT Sports on Wednesday, presenting their coverage of Manchester City versus Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.

She joined TNT in the summer of 2023, replacing Jake Humphrey following his departure from the company.

Alongside her work with ITV and TNT, the former Sky Sports anchor also occasionally presents matches for Amazon Prime.

As per the Internet Commentator Database, Woods will be on air alongside pundits Steven Gerrard, Joleon Lescott and Steve McManaman.

She returned to work in April after giving birth to her son, Leo, with partner Adam Collard.

Collard was one of the first to provide an update on Woods' condition after her on-air collapse, with the former Love Island contestant writing on Twitter: "Laura is all ok and with the right people. Thank you for all of your kind messages."
