National League side Wealdstone have issued a scathing statement after one of their players featured for KSI's Baller League team on Monday night.

The third season of Baller League UK got underway on Monday night at the Copperbox Arena, with KSI transitioning from the league's president to a team manager.

As part of a number of changes in the six-a-side league, KSI has taken charge of Prime FC and got off to the perfect start when his team beat Jens Lehmann's N5 7-3.

The opening goal was scored by Sak Hassan, a Somalia international who played in the youth academies of Spurs and QPR.

Hassan featured in season one of the league with John Terry's 26ers team, scoring 10 goals.

He was absent from the second season and focused on his semi-professional career but returned on Monday night with a goal and two assists.

However, he did so while under contract with Wealdstone and the club expressed their unhappiness on social media after claiming there was no permission granted, nor was there any communication regarding his involvement.

Wealdstone said they planned on speaking with both Hassan and the Baller League.

"We are aware that Sak Hassan, under contract with Wealdstone FC, appeared in this evening’s Baller League," Wealdstone wrote on X.

"The club was not approached for permission for Sak to participate, nor were we made aware of his involvement in advance.

"We will now be following up with both the Baller League and the player directly. No further comment will be made until those discussions have taken place."

On the broadcast, KSI was quizzed by presenter Chunkz on how Hassan's move to his side came about - and revealed he had "big things" coming.

While he didn't mention his new venture with Dagenham and Redbridge, KSI appeared to hint at potentially signing the 24-year-old for the National League South.

KSI said: "You mentioned him to me, so I talked to him and I was like, 'bro, I got a big thing coming.'"

"At this point, I didn't mention Daggers...I was like bro, I've got big things...so, there is that, and then also said, bro, think of the clout."

10th in the league, Wealdstone are in action on Tuesday night when they take on Gateshead in an away fixture. It remains to be seen whether Hassan will be in the squad for the game.

Dagenham, now co-owned by YouTuber-boxer KSI after he became a shareholder and strategic partner, are 12th in the the division below - nine points off the final play-off spot.
