Jobe Bellingham Considering Drastic Action as Internal Dortmund Talks Held

Jobe Bellingham is 'growing increasingly frustrated' at Borussia Dortmund.

Jobe Bellingham is considering drastic action over his career amid 'growing frustration' at Borussia Dortmund.

Bellingham joined Dortmund in a deal worth £31 million following his heroics for Sunderland last summer.

He inspired the Black Cats to promotion to the Premier League after they won last season's Championship play-off final against Sheffield United.

Dortmund wasted no time in signing Bellingham, securing his services ahead of the Club World Cup.

The 20-year-old showed promise at the Club World Cup despite the German side getting knocked out in the quarter-finals.

But he has endured a tough start to the 2025/26 season, having yet to register a goal or assist in six Bundesliga games.

Most of his appearances have come as a substitute, with Bellingham only playing 167 minutes in the Bundesliga this season and has yet to complete a full 90 minutes.

Bellingham's father, Mark, has already taken matters into his own hands as he addressed sporting director Sebastian Kehl over his son's lack of minutes on the pitch.

Despite only joining four months ago, Bellingham is assessing his options ahead of the January transfer window.

That's according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who claims the Englishman is only being used when others are unavailable through injury.

He is 'growing increasingly frustrated' with his lack of opportunities under Niko Kovac, who has preferred more experienced midfielders in his line-ups.

His reported dissatisfaction comes as a surprise given the fanfare over his summer transfer, which saw him follow in the footsteps of his older brother Jude Bellingham, who himself joined Dortmund from Birmingham City.

Where could Jobe Bellingham go?

Bellingham is contracted until 2029 and any potential suitors would likely need to pay a significant fee unless they can strike a loan deal with an obligation to buy.

Dortmund are said to have opened internal discussions regarding his development, but no formal talks have taken place.

Per the report, his situation will be closely monitored over the coming weeks ahead of the transfer window reopening in the new year.

Bellingham could stay in Germany considering Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig had been keen on taking him on before he signed for Dortmund.

And a return to England could also be on the cards, with several Premier League clubs interested during the summer.

Manchester United and Crystal Palace were eyeing a move for Bellingham before he opted for a switch away from England.

Ruben Amorim is hellbent on recruiting a midfielder and could be alerted to the star player's situation at Dortmund, while Oliver Glasner will want to reinforce his team as they mount a charge in the Conference League.
