Joachim Andersen Leaves Fans Feeling Sick With Gruesome Injury vs Forest

Fulham are in action against Nottingham Forest.

Fulham star Joachim Andersen suffered a horrible injury during his side's match against Nottingham Forest.

On Monday night, the final game of the latest Premier League match weekend took place at Craven Cottage with Fulham facing Forest.

Fulham were looking to make it back-to-back victories after their 3-2 win over Burnley last time out.

Meanwhile, Sean Dyche's men were looking to build on their stunning 3-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur last week.

With 24 minutes on the clock, the match was slightly halted after Fulham defender Andersen suffered a grim finger injury.

As shown on Sky Sports' live broadcast, Andersen's finger appeared to be dislocated as it was pointing in the wrong direction.

Reacting on commentary, former West Ham United and England goalkeeper Robert Green said: "Looking at his finger pointing in the wrong direction is not nice for anyone."

On social media, one fan said: "Andersen's finger is COOKED."

Another tweeted: "Joachim Andersen providing us with one of the less appealing images of the season there… his finger."

A third fan added: "Andersen's finger. Ouch.. And they just taped it up..."

Someone else wrote: "Seems as if Andersen has twisted his finger. Looks very nasty."

A fifth commented: "Damn Andersen dislocated his finger. Long day."

Another fan said: "A potential dislocated finger injury for Joachim Andersen."

In truth, Andersen's injury was the biggest moment from what was a cagey first half.

Igor Jesus had a great chance to put Forest in the lead but only managed to fire over from close range.

Meanwhile, Sasa Lukic wasted a decent opportunity for Fulham, Green said on Sky Sports: "It's a poor finish from Sasa Lukic. He doesn't score many, and he doesn't get forward too often. You can understand why."

However, in stoppage time, Fulham were awarded a penalty after Kevin was fouled by Douglas Luiz.

Raul Jimenez stepped up and sent John Victor the wrong way to make it 1-0 to Fulham.
