Broadcaster TNT Sports have clarified their position on Jermaine Jenas following the former footballer being sacked from his role at the BBC.

The BBC confirmed Jenas had been relieved of his duties following the news being initially reported by The Sun, who claim the sacking was due to 'inappropriate behavior'.

A report from the BBC stated: "BBC News understands his contract was terminated earlier this week, because of alleged issues relating to workplace behaviour.

"It followed allegations involving digital communications such as texts, which were raised with the corporation a few weeks ago," it continued.

While his time at the BBC is over, Jenas also features heavily on TNT Sports, covering football and Formula E for the broadcaster.

According to The Mirror, TNT currently have no plans to release Jenas and were completely unaware of the situation at the presenter's other employer.

The report states that despite Jenas remaining a member of the TNT Sport team for now, he is 'not pencilled in' for any games over the next few weeks.

After predominantly working within football, Jenas added motorsport to his CV last year, as he took on the role as TNT's main Formula E presenter for the 2024 season despite having no experience.

"I always loved Formula One and this particular job came about because FE is a brand-new sport, it's only nine or ten years old," Jenas said on 'That Peter Crouch Podcast' earlier in the year.

"It's a sport that revolves around sustainability and the excitement as well. When they asked me to do it, I was like, 'Look I've never seen this racing before. As much as I love F1, I'm going to have to do a lot of research and work into FE.'

"They were like, 'That's what we want. It's a brand-new sport, no one knows enough about it to enjoy it so you can take them on that journey.'

Once that pressure was off and they were telling me some of the venues I would be going to... Mexico, Sao Paulo, Monaco, Tokyo, these sounded like decent places to go," he explained.
