Micah Richards was brutally trolled by fellow pundits Jamie Carragher and Thierry Henry on Wednesday night.

The popular trio were back on CBS Sports as the Champions League group stage came to a close.

Manchester City secured six wins out of six after beating Red Star Belgrade 2-1 in Serbia, with youngster Micah Hamilton scoring on his full debut for the club.

The performance of Hamilton received a lot of praise but Carragher sent out a warning to the youngster.

He said: “There was a lot to admire. He reminds us of this man on our left [Richards]. His performance was fantastic, the interview was fantastic.

“But there was one thing I didn't like tonight and he's got to get it out of his game. That is a horrific, horrendous, dive - it's cheating.”

Carragher continued: “No it's not right, he flops to the floor it's very theatric and we don't want to see it.”

The former Liverpool man then said to Richards: “He obviously looks up to you, so where do you think he got it from? Where do you think he learnt it from Micah Richards?”

At this point, a clip of Richards playing for Aston Villa was played, showing the former defender’s hilarious attempt at winning a penalty.

Reacting to the clip, Henry exclaimed: “What are you doing!?”

Reflecting on his first Champions League outing, 20-year-old Hamilton said: “I don’t even know how to put it into words to be honest – it’s all surreal. The game obviously; the goal, everyone has seen that, I didn’t even know what to do.

“He [Guardiola] put me on the right wing, something different for me. I’d not really played there. I saw it as a challenge and I took it and I enjoyed every moment.”

He continued: “The manager has given us the opportunity in training and in the game today. Playing with the best players you always improve.

“It's definitely just the start… and to kick on from here. It’s not bad. It’s all surreal, it’s not sunk in yet. Everyone at home will be watching it.”
