Jamie Carragher issued a public apology to Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique after he guided his side to a second successive Champions League final.
The French club will look to defend their title against Arsenal at the end of the month after they defeated Bayern Munich in the semi-finals. PSG won a frantic first leg 5-4 in Paris and followed it up with a 1-1 draw in Munich to secure their place in the showpiece final for the second year in a row.
Liverpool great Carragher was part of the punditry team on CBS Sports as they watched PSG make history on Wednesday night. As part of their post-match analysis, they hoped to get some reaction from the Ligue 1 side, with club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi speaking to the studio.
"I don't ask you for much," began Micah Richards. "Basically, because Jamie opened his big mouth, talking all the time, Luis Enrique doesn't want to speak to us. Can you get him to speak to us, please?"

Al-Khelaifi joked he would try his best to get the PSG head coach and soon delivered, when Enrique appeared in shot two minutes into their interview. "The best coach in the world is here," the club president stated, before Enrique joined the live interview to huge cheers from the studio guests.
"Oh my god! Hello, guys," said the PSG boss as Jamie and Micah celebrated his arrival. "We are so happy that you are here, because there was a period in time that we thought we had lost your friendship, and that concerned us, so we are going to allow Jamie to address it," said host Kate Scott.
"Luis, I would like to apologise for my behaviour in Dortmund, for the semi-final," Carragher began. "I had a Dortmund scarf on, but sometimes, as we all know, when we have had a few drinks, we get a little bit carried away. So, I apologise. We absolutely loved your team, what they did last year and you've been an absolute joy to watch for the last two years in the Champions League. Congratulations for making the final again, well done sir."
"Thank you, thank you," replied Enrique. "You don't have to apologise."
Carragher and Enrique make peace after Dortmund incident
Carragher apologised to Enrique for his previous behaviour after PSG had lost the first leg of their Champions League semi-final to Borussia Dortmund in 2024.
The Liverpool great claimed to have drunk eight pints with Dortmund fans after he watched the match as part of their famous 'Yellow Wall.'
Carragher was in high spirits during an iconic post-match interview with Jadon Sancho, which upset the Dortmund press officer because he was not supposed to be available for a chat.
There was more anger when PSG boss Enrique arrived for a post-match interview as well, only to see Carragher wearing a Dortmund scarf in celebration of their victory.
"In all seriousness, he's in the sin bin," co-host Peter Schmeichel said. "Seriously, he's upset every person here. First of all, were supposed to have Luis Enrique.
"And he came in and said, 'hello' and then he left because Jamie was wearing a Dortmund scarf.
"Then because we took Jadon Sancho in, the press officer from Dortmund got a bit cross with us because that was not on the list.
"We've been very naughty. And I hope it's been good content."
