Ian Holloway slammed his own fans after a chair was thrown from the away section during Swindon Town’s 2-1 loss away at Walsall on Saturday.
Holloway, 62, returned to management in 2024 after a four-year hiatus and is currently at League Two side Swindon Town.
On Saturday, his side got their 2025/26 campaign underway with a 2-1 loss against Walsall at the Bescot Stadium in a match marred by crowd behaviour.
Evan Weir put the home side ahead after eight minutes, but on 21 minutes, Walsall’s Brandon Comley was sent off.

Swindon equalised thanks to a Will Wright penalty with just over ten minutes left, only for Connor Barrett to score a stoppage-time winner, sending the home supporters away happy.
Also late in the game, Saddlers’ goalkeeper Myles Roberts went down with what appeared to be a leg injury before an object was thrown towards him.

The ‘keeper picked up what appeared to be part of a chair from the away section where the Swindon supporters were housed, and Holloway could hardly contain his anger following the final whistle.

In a post-match interview posted on Swindon’s YouTube channel, he fumed: "I am a human being who loves this game but I also love other human beings.
"I am here to represent my wonderful football club in a way that is courteous in defeat – tenacious as well, I want to fight for things, but you don’t rip out a seat and throw it at someone.
"I wouldn’t want Walsall thinking that about all of us, so anyone stood next to them, I want them dobbed in because that’s not right.
"These people creep into football and no one does anything about it. I am standing up for Swindon Town, a magnificent club and we don’t want anything to do with this.

"Whoever you are, you should be ashamed of yourself. I am going to hunt you down and find you."
In a separate interview with Sky Sports, the former Blackpool boss branded the perpetrator’s behaviour as “absolutely disgusting” and explained that he hopes they “get banned”.
Swindon later released a statement which read: "This behaviour has absolutely no place at our football club or in the wider game.
"Let us be clear: any individuals found to have engaged in such actions will face the strictest possible sanctions, including banning orders and legal action where appropriate."
