Harry Kane has a year left on his Bayern Munich contract and it will soon be time to decide whether or not there's one more big challenge left in his playing career.
Kane will turn 33 after the World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico this summer but could take inspiration from Bayern predecessor Robert Lewandowski by seizing the chance to add one of the world's biggest football clubs to the end of his CV.
The Polish striker, still playing at the highest level at 37 years of age, moved from Bayern to Barcelona in 2022 and has picked up three La Liga titles to top up his already extensive collection of winner's medals.
Lewandowski's career at the Nou Camp will end after Saturday's visit to Valencia. Barcelona are reportedly considering the possibility of going back to the elite veteran well in order to replace his impressive four-year contribution to the Catalan giants.

According to Spanish media, a centre-forward is the top priority for Barcelona and their former Bayern head coach, Hansi Flick, in the summer transfer window.
"The club remains determined to sign a world-class centre forward," reports Mundo Deportivo.
"If necessary, they will lower their standards, but only if it becomes impossible to sign any of their three preferred targets."
The players in question are Joao Pedro of Chelsea, Atletico Madrid's Julian Alvarez, and England skipper Kane. It's reported that all three are live options as Barcelona's primary focus switches to recruitment at the end of the 2025-26 season.
"The difficulty of signing Harry Kane is widely acknowledged, especially given his excellent performances at Bayern Munich , where he's had a fantastic season, winning the Bundesliga and the German Cup and reaching the Champions League semi-finals," adds Mundo Deportivo.
"However, he's under contract until 2027 and hasn't yet renewed."
Kane heads to the World Cup on a high
As former club Tottenham Hotspur face one final challenge in the battle to avoid relegation from the Premier League, the London-born striker is preparing for World Cup 2026 in fine fettle.
Kane has scored a remarkable 98 goals in 94 Bundesliga appearances including 36 in the German season that just finished.
He has already reaped the rewards of stepping into Lewandowski's footsteps, winning back-to-back Bundesliga titles in 2024-25 and 2025-26.
Kane has been named in the Bundesliga Team of the Season in each of the last three years.
The next competitive fixture for the Three Lions captain after Saturday's DFB-Pokal final against Stuttgart will be for his country against Croatia in the opening fixture in Group L at the World Cup.
