
Former Premier League player George Baldock left a massive amount of money to his family after his tragic death aged 31.
Ex-Sheffield United defender Baldock, who joined Greek club Panathinaikos in the summer of 2024, was tragically found dead in a swimming pool at his home.
Emergency services were immediately called after the defender was found in his Athens home, with a doctor who was part of the response unit verifying that he had tragically died.
An inquest into his death determined that there was was no alcohol or drugs in his system, with the coroner giving the verdict of accidental death.
Following the tragic news, tributes for Baldock poured in offering condolences to the footballer's fiancee Annabel Dignam and their young son Brody.

According to a new report from The Sun, probate papers, the legal documents needed to administer a deceased person's estate, left behind total of £5,781,399.
Once all debts were settled, the total value of Baldock's estate was established to be £4,091,003.
Given the fact the Baldock's sudden death came as such a shock, the footballer died intestate, meaning he had not written a will.
Therefore, all of his estate will automatically be given to his next of kin, in this case his son Brody, with fiancee Dignam being granted the money to use for her son's benefit.
The court papers state that Dignam will be given the fortune “for the use and benefit of minor Brody Baldock until they reach the age of 18”

Shortly after Baldock's death, Dignam posted an emotional statement on Instagram, writing: “George, the love of my life, my soulmate.
“The perfect dad to our beautiful boy. You completed me. You were my world and I know we were yours.
“You are here with me in Brody’s smile, giggle and infectious personality. My world will never be the same but I will find a way for Brody. I promise. I love you forever and always G. Your Neen. X.”
Several of Baldock's former teammates also paid tribute to the 31-year-old, while the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) wrote: "Everyone at the PFA is deeply saddened by the passing of George Baldock.
"The immediate reactions to George’s death, at such a tragically young age, reflect how loved and respected he was by teammates, fans and so many across the game. Our thoughts are with George's family and his many friends, within football and beyond."
